Temperatures are rising and that means hot Paws! Mom is pretty careful about what she lets me walk on in the summer. She doesn’t want me to burn my paws. We have to be careful in parking lots and on sidewalks.
Mom follows the five second rule. What is that you ask? It’s easy! If you want to know if it’s too hot for your dog’s paws, hold the back of your hand on pavement for five seconds. If it’s too hot to hold your hand there, try some summer booties, go someplace else, or schedule your walk at a different time. 
Yup, you read that right, dog booties! If you really have to walk on hot surfaces they make summer shoes for dogs. All Dog Boots have some great shoes. They even have sandals!
Hot weather can be pretty “ruff” on a dog. Mom found some interesting ideas for helping us dogs out in hot weather. Outside online magazine has some great suggestions.
